Getting Back Into The Swing of Things!

It has been a while since my last race, about two months to be exact, and I have to start getting back into the swing of things.

When I last checked-in I had completed the Norcal Rugged Maniac, which I will be participating in again in October (Rugged Maniac Sacramento), and the Terrain Racing series in San Jose, which I will also be doing in the upcoming months, November to be exact (Terrain Racing Irvine).

Since these races I have rested and trained slowly, especially after discovering I have tendinitis on 2 major joints of my body. However, that will/has not stopped me…I have adjusted my training and created new workouts in order to continue my progress at becoming the best I can be…

In the next few months, before 2018 ends, I will be doing the Lake Tahoe Spartan BEAST in order to complete my trifecta, 2-3 more Spartan Sprints, the Norcal Tough Mudder, the Rugged Maniac, the Terrain Racing event, and a 5k/Half-Marathon as part of the Monterey Half-Marathon Series (2 days, back-to-back).

In the next few weeks I will get back to working hard, training both in the gym and on the streets…and I will continue to SAFELY push my body.

I will also hopefully be coaching and working as my school site’s Athletic Director, but that is still up in the air. I will also be finishing up my Masters in Educational Leadership w/ Admin Credentials (in the next 2-3 weeks), then moving towards my Doctorate in the same field, all while continuing to train and teach/coach…Oh and now planning a wedding…

As always, remember to never give up and push yourselves each and every day…and if you happen to fall, remember to be like the phoenix and rise from the ashes…Never Quit.
